It's been a while since my last blog post, but I’m thrilled to share some exciting news and updates with you. We’ve been incredibly busy working on numerous projects and events, and I can’t thank my clients and supporters enough for your unwavering support, which has driven our business growth and expansion.
Over the past few years, we've been entrusted with many wonderful projects, for which we are deeply grateful. Due to this growth, I am delighted to welcome a long-time professional colleague and friend, Autaum Kendle, to our team.
During a crisis, you need to think ahead. Have a game plan ready for how you intend to handle situations that have been impacted by these circumstances. In addition to all this, always have a clear communication plan in place.
IngenuityFest 2019 has concluded, and all I can say is…wow, what a whirlwind!
The week before the festival was crazy. The insane hours of work and exhaustion turned into adrenaline that enabled staff to get through the long days. The festival planning experience was chaotic, but it was so much fun.
There was a laundry list of things that needed to get done 24 hours before the event. With all-hands-on-deck and a team of driven staff, volunteers, and contractors, we pulled it all together and had a successful festival weekend.

If I had to pick three words to summarize my experiences completing event planning internships they include exciting, educational and invaluable. I picked these words because I’ve had three fantastic event-industry internships. These internships re-confirmed my career path, provided me with invaluable experience, and gave me the practical, hands-on professional experience I needed to land my first full-time job as an event planner.
First, let’s define the job description of a promotional event planner against that of a corporate event planner.
A corporate event planner would plan events such as business meetings, corporate conferences, and retreats. Besides planning internal and industry events, corporate planners could also plan promotional events. However, they may need to sharpen their skills with additional training before taking the lead for promotional events.
Promotional events are a little tricky to define. They could be in-person or online. They might last for weeks or just an hour, and they could be either large- or small-scale. It’s best to think about promotional events with a focus on the consumer experience. Promotional events of any form aim to create memorable, live experiences that excite consumers.
